Lance A. Unnerstall, 54, of Washington, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017.  Lance was born on December 6, 1962 in St. Louis to Les and Brooksie (nee Turner) Unnerstall.  Lance enjoyed getting to know and being around people, so working at the family business, Town and Country Lanes, from High School on was a perfect fit.  He later bought the bowling alley from his parents and ran it until recently.  Lance was a very accomplished bowler, with multiple 300 games and many High Series to his name, and served as President for two terms on the Missouri Bowling Proprietors Association.  He loved his family dearly, and had a special connection with his two nieces.  Lance was a well-respected drummer in several bands over the years, ZDR, Moffit, and Rockfist, was a member of Washington Elks Lodge, and was a big Pittsburg Steeler fan.  He was an amateur transportation historian, specifically airplanes and trains, but had a special affinity for Ford Mustangs, and whenever he could, he was on the road in his perfectly kept Shelby Cobra.

A Funeral Mass will be held at noon on Monday, March 6, 2017 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at the Church cemetery.  Visitation will be on Sunday, March 5 from 3 until 7pm at Miller Funeral Home.  Memorial donations are appreciated to the American Diabetes Association or the St. Francis Borgia Regional High School Music Association.

Lance is survived by his parents, Les and Brooksie (nee Turner) Unnerstall; two siblings, Kean and wife Lynn Unnerstall of Atlanta, Georgia and Traci Unnerstall of Washington; nieces Hannah and Shelby Whitacre; other relatives, and friends.

Lance was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Gertrude Turner and Otto and Clara Unnerstall.
